Favourite foundation

I always stick to a product when i know i like it. Before these products i was using various foundations which i knew just weren't quite right for my skin and skin tone. So being fed up of knowing it wasn't quite right,  i decided to go to a MAC counter and one of the ladies helped pick what would be best for my skin and what colour was best for me.

I love foundations with a full coverage for my skin so this really works for me. I use the 'Studio Fix Fluid' I love this foundation and have used it ever since. Like i said before once i find a product i really like i tend to stick to it and not go for anything else, so i have been using this product for something crazy like two years. I would like to branch out and discover other foundations, im just always a bit wary of spending quite a lot of money on something which i don't know im going to love as much as i love this product.

If you can recommend any other liquid foundations with a full coverage then leave a comment to let me know :)

One of my favourite drug store foundations is the rimmel 'wake me up' foundation and i use that one in the colour 'ivory' this foundation has a good coverage and i love the smell too!

I then like having powder on top just to set my foundation, and one of my favourite powders to use is the 'studio fix powder plus foundation' What i have found before with a lot of powders is they leave my face looking dry but this one doesn't and i love the way the powder leaves your face looking after.

Just a quick post about some lippy!
I absolutely love the topshop lipstick collection.
The range of colours are great and they are so moist which is a must for me in a lipstick, they apply really easily and the colour comes out great. As i am working rather a lot recently i tend to go for more of a natural minimal makeup for day to day makeup, so this has been the lipstick i have been wearing most recently.
I also have the 'brighton rock' topshop lipstick which is a real bright pink colour which i have also been really loving recently.
Topshop Lipstick - 'Macaroon'

I haven't actually bought a lot of the Topshop make-up collection, i have a couple of the cream blushers which i really like and am glad i have them as i find cream blushers so easy to apply and create such a nice affect on your skin. And i have numerous amounts of the nail polishes as the colours they have are just too pretty to ignore when i go in there!
I am hoping to buy the glow highlighter and give those a try as they look quite snazzy and have heard a few good comments about those so they are on my list!
Let me know if there is anything you love from the topshop collection so i can try them out :)

I thought i would do a post on some of the items that i have been loving recently, they're definitely not necessarily new products in store, they're just the ones that i have been wearing most this month :)

So quite a while ago i purchased the naked 2 palette, after not having the original but hearing good things about it i thought i would go for it. At £36 pound i did feel slightly guilty buying just the one product, but told myself that there is 12 different colours in there and that works out at 3 pound a colour so not too bad really....? ha, anyway after using it for a while now i am so glad that i purchased it as i just use it absolutely all the time. The colours just blend so well together and i love using neutral colours so this palette is perfect. You may notice the end colour is missing.. i may have dropped the palette only after having it a day, i was obviously too excited and unfortunately the black completely cracked so i took what was left out of the palette and saved it and keep it in my room. I do use the black occasionally as i find the pgiment is really good in these eyeshadows and the black is a really dramatic black (if you know what i mean) and looks really great on a smokey eye.

The next product is the Barry M Gelly nail polish. I absolutely LOVE the Gelly collection as they look so great on your nails and they give such a professional smooth finish with only one coat. I have been wearing this colour for absolute yonks as it is such a summery colour and was just something a little different!

I watched a youtube beauty video about these maybellene colour tattoo cream eyeshadows and just thought the 'pink gold' (bottom left) was so so so pretty i then went and bought it myself. I really loved the colour and i don't normally wear much colour on my lids i tend to stick to neutrals so this was nice for a change.
I loved it so much i went back and they were on offer 3 for 2 so i bought the black, pomegranate and 'on and on bronze'

I've had my real techniques powder brush for ages, i actually forgot about it then rekindled my love for it in the past month, great for powdering over your foundation. love all the real technique brushes :)

ramble ramble ramble!

Oh my god, I actually love love love this perfume it smells so good. Ive been using voctor and rolf flowerbomb before this one and me and my boyfriend were wandering around debenhams and i instantly fell in love with this. The smell is so sweet? and i just love it. Obviously won't be everyones kinda smell, but im so happy i found it i love it :)

Ooops, so i went in zara..
saw these shoes, picked them up they were size 4 my size, it was fate and i could not put them down. Gorgeous heels and really comfortable!

Trying to give blogging a go so would mean a lot for a follow:)!
I was doing my make-up this morning and thought it was a great opportunity for a blog post! I am just focusing on the eyes in this post and will go through how I created my neutral smokey eye colour.
I used one of my mac quads WHICH is not complete! I still have a space so any recommendations for a colour in there would be great, I was thinking of going for just a real deep dark brown/black colour to use in the crease of the eyelid to help with smokey eyes.
In my palette I have 'mystery' which is top left, 'wood-winked' bottom left and 'nylon' bottom right. First of all I used wood winked and used that all over my lid, I then used my mac 217 brush to blend the colour and just to blend all the hard edges that the eye shadow may have left. I then used mystery in the crease of my lid and built up the colour adding more each time and blending with the brush as I went along so that I could build up the smokey eye effect.
I also then used a tiny bit of black from my 'naked 2' palette just to add some extra depth in the crease of my eyelid again building up the finished look.

Hello! my name is Abbie and I have decided to start a blog! how exciting (and scary!..)
After reading numerous of blogs for the past couple of years I have finalllyyyy decided to create my own! My blog will mainly be focused on beauty products and the general rare thoughts that pop into my mind!
I find it so useful and love reading blog posts on beauty products to see if they actually work and are worth spending your hard earned money on! I especially love seeing photos of the products on people so you can see the difference and I do love me some before and after product photo shots! so hopefully I will be brave enough to post my face all over the internet, and share my thoughts on different products good or bad.
I also love watching shopping haul videos and reading haul blog posts as it just makes you just want to go and buy everything that they show you!?!? even if my bank balance doesn't quite agree!
So here it goes! my first ever mini blog post!
speak soon!
